Removing wallpaper is never fun. But with the right tools, a lot of experience, and a lot of patience, wey can rid a room of a dated wall covering for you.

Set Up

We place drop cloths and plastic at base of walls to be stripped.

Preparation

Our crew starts the line process to complete the wallpaper removal in an efficient manner. One member of our crew will apply hot water to the wallpaper to be removed and allow it to soak the paper for about 15 minutes.

Removal

One of our trained members will grab pieces of wallpaper at a bottom corner and carefully pull upward and use a wide putty knife to facilitate the removal of the paper repeating the above steps until all the wallpaper is completely removed from your walls.

Clean walls

At masterpiece Painting Contractors we know that a clean wall means a long lasting painting job. We clean the glue residue with a sponge, scrubbing carefully to remove all traces of wallpaper adhesive. Finally, rinse down the walls with clean water and towel dry.

Prime walls

Priming a new textured surface before painting is necessary to guarantee a long lasting job. We always apply one even coat of acrylic primer to all walls where the wallpaper was removed from to make sure the new paint is going to hold properly.

Paint walls

After the primer dries we apply Premiun Latex Sherwin Williams Paint to have a cleanable surface.

Clean

Furniture and accessories are moved back to their desired locations. Floors and carpets are vacuumed and swept. All of our materials are removed.

Inspect

After our own inspection, you are invited to inspect our work and asked to complete the feedback card for our exterior painting job and the crew.
