Knockdown Texture

Posted on Sep 15, 2010 |

At Masterpiece Painting Contractors do apply Knockdown Textures to ceilings after the Popcorn texture is removed, flat ceilings and flat walls to hide imperfections, stains and uneven spaces giving the illusion the ceiling is straight and to add a contemporary looking to your home. The texture also adds interest to the ceiling, breaking up an otherwise boring feature to your room. After 15 years of experience we have developed our Knockdown Texture System to make sure your project is done properly, faster, cleaner, better and long lasting.

Set Up

Move furniture and decor items from the room. Tape plastic sheeting over the floor and any immovable objects in the room.

Patch drywall imperfections, Remove loosen joint tape, put fiber mesh, apply joint compound and sand the surfaces to be texture down.

Spray the ceilings or walls with the joint compound texture, let dry and rake over the ceiling with a knockdown knife to flatten the texture. Leave the texture to dry before priming and painting.

Clean up is done at the completion of our work. Dust and excess of texture are removed and all our materials are packed up and stored neatly.

After our own inspection, you are invited to inspect our work and asked to complete the feedback card for our exterior painting job and the crew.
